wow I have to admit I didn't consider all these possibilities! A sketch in a novel, how cool is that!

About aggregators: I recommend Jordan blogs, Palestenian blogs and the newly founded and promising Jordan Pulse... there are many aggregators out there but these are the ones that top my list

Ola: I agree that "regular" books are easier to use for most people. However, picture this: What if we were able to design a very easy to use ePaper technology? What if it was targeted for people who do not even know what a computer is?

I think ePapers and eBooks have alot to offer us. Besides saving trees, resources, time, space, effort, shipping, price ..etc, it can open the horizon for all sorts of new neat things. Imagine this, what if eBooks can be read to you by this ePaper device? Now you do not have to publish a different edition of the book for the blind. What if that eBook can translate itself, or even provide instant dictionary lookup for difficult words?

What if eBooks became more interactive? Imagine reading an anatomy book were the human tissue diagram is animated and interactive, wouldn't that be a better learning device? What if you were reading your favorite novel and a particular scene included an animated (or even acted) sketch? Wouldn't that be a better novel? a better experience?

I believe that "regular" books seem "natural" to us only because we and our ancestors grew up with them. There was no other alternative. But still, ePaper (or eBook reader devices) can simulate most of that experience. A friend of mine was working on a two-page eBook device where you can flip the pages and bend them!!

eh ... i am deeply excited about this ... i might even expand this reply and turn it into a post in by itself :-).

Regarding aggregators, well i didn't think about that yet (with all honesty). I should look into that. Which ones would you recommend ?

You know paper has been around for thousands of years I think it's just hard to give it up for electronic paper, let alone that many people are still computer illiterate or refuse to deal with computers and electronic devices just like this. I agree that electronic paper is aprobably a good way to save time, effort and money, but it cannot replace ordinary paper. I personally wouldn't like to read, say a book, using an electornic device. Books are books, electronic books cannot replace them...

In another light, suppose one day there was no electricity in the world, and all the modern heritage was saved on computers and electronic devices... How would our grandchildren know about our "deeds and achievements"? :D (I know what you're thinking, perjhaps it's better they don't :p) So, here goes another likely advantage of Amazon Kindle

BTW, why isn't your blog on any aggregator? I mean Palestinian blogs, Jordan Pulse, Jordan blogs... That will get more people to know about it
