Gmail vs. Google Mail

This is old news, but i just found this out. Apparently there has been some trademark issues in the use of the name “Gmail” in Germany, the UK, and other countries. So, in those countries gmail is officially known as “Google Mail”. And all over the site, you do not see the traditional gmail logo
